one way valve would like to tell you when you are drinking cappuccino,can you image the cappuccino is like a kind of dark brown priest frock?Why I ask you such a strange question?Because the name of coffee cappuccino has a interesting relationship with the dark brown priest frock.Now I would like to share the funny thing with you.

The history of the name of cappuccino can sufficiently said that some words is extend from something that looks like its appearance.These words were created without any common rules,a new thing may be named as the name of another thing just because of the similar appearance.However,the meaning of this new thing is far over the original meaning that the word creator created.That sounds very strange,the history of cappuccino is a good example to explain this strange thing to you.

The name of cappuccino is derived from an organization named Capuchin that was established in 1525.All the friars of Capuchin usually wear a kind of brown priest frock and a pointy hat.When the Capuchin spread to the Italy,the local people think their cloth is very special,so they named their cloth as cappuccino that means the friars’ loose long gown and pointy hat in Italian.The world cappuccino they called is from the word Cappuccio that mean headcloth of Italian.

However,Italians are fond of drinking coffee ,they think the espresso mix with milk and milk foam has a similar color with the brown long gown that friars of Capuchin wear.So,Italians named this coffee add milk and pointy milk foam as cappuccino.

The word cappuccino was first used in English in 1948,when the cappuccino was first introduced as a beverage in a report in San Francisco.Cappuccino become a famous coffee beverage around the world until 1990.In a word,the name of cappuccino is comes from the Capuchin and the Italian word,cappucio.The people who created the word cappuccino can not image that the world they created to means the long gown of the friars would become the name of a kind of famous coffee beverage.
