Coffee is a kind of crop that needs much attention, including its picking. The main picking methods of coffee beans are divided into two types: the first type is mechanicalpicking, another type is manual picking.
1. Mechanical picking:
Mechanical picking is mainly applied to the coffee garden that is large and flat. This method improves the speed of picking coffee cherries, but workers still need to double check if there's any broken coffee cherries or immature coffee cherries. The biggest advantage of mechanical picking is saving cost, improving efficiency. However, its obvious shortcoming is that it may cause the waste of immature coffee cherries, decrease the output of coffee beans.
2. Manual picking:
Manual picking is the form that coffee peasants go around the coffee garden to pick the mature coffee cherries in eight to ten days. The biggest advantage of manual picking is that the maturity of coffee cherries is even. It is convenient for the coffee beans to be processed, but it also take high cost.
