one way valve uses non-bleached filter paper to brew coffee, how to remove the flavor of filter paper? The behavior of washing filter paper and the purpose is to remove the flavor of the filter paper itself, as well as it will more stick the filter bowl. However, the purpose to remove flavor of filter paper is aiming at the people which dislike the flavor of raw wood pulp filter paper as like me. Washing filter paper can remove the disgusting flavor of filter paper, at the same time, it can also preheat the brewing appliances. The method as below:

1. Place the filter paper on the brewing appliances

2. Pour hot water into the brewing appliances, and let the filter paper soak the hot water (make sure the whole filter paper has washed).

3. Pour out the hot water, and use the fresh hot water to brew coffee

4. If necessary, washing the filter paper again.

5. Start to brew coffee.

Most filter paper should be used after washing for once, but some filter paper may need to be washed twice (especially if you are sensitive to the flavor of filter paper). But if you can smell the flavor of filter paper after washing twice, you should considerate to change another brand of filter paper.

The only purpose of any production methods, that is to make out the best coffee to taste. If you want to know whether wash the filter paper is useful or not, the simplest method is to use the method respectively to make a cup of coffee at the same time, one is washing the filter paper, another is not to washing the filter paper. If you taste the difference, and the coffee which you use the method of washing filter paper is indeed better than not washing one, it shows the method of washing filter paper is useful. But if you cannot taste the difference, it shows the method of washing filter paper is useless. The result after my attempt was that no matter the filter paper wash or not, it would not affect the coffee taste. Anyway, my point of view is that, no matter other people how to explain the principle and role of washing filter paper, as long as there are no differences for the coffee taste, it is useless. Coffee is taste, not theory.
